About ME

Indigenous Filmmaker

Living in Vancouver, BC

Fisher Horn is an emerging Indigenous Filmmaker, story-teller, and graphic designer. Horn is Kanien’kehá:ka from Kahnawake (Mohawk Nation), and was born in the lower mainland of British Columbia. A graduate of the Indigenous Digital Filmmaking program at Capilano University, and current Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts student, he is creating short films and documentaries, working to become a professional film editor.

Fisher has extensive volunteer experience in youth sports, being a leader in both soccer and hockey development programs. He has won the Walter Fish Community Service Award and been named a ISWO Sport Hero in the Making. He is currently living in North Vancouver.

A short documentary on Peter Symons, the residence security guard at Capilano University’s student housing. This documentary explores how Peter has fostered a sense of real community at the residence, making it feel like a second home for so many over the years.

The Impasse Inn

On a lonely night at a run-down motel, Mike, a lone traveler, stops to stay overnight. He’s on his way to propose to his fiancĂ©e – and has the engagement ring to cement his love. While his stay seems somewhat normal at first, a terrifying supernatural entity reveals itself and traps Mike in his room. With danger closing in and time running out, Mike understands that his most valuable possession is the key to freedom.
